You’re part of this CELEBRATION: Murdock Trust Grant Award

Operation 100k jobs

A good measure, pressed down and shaken together has been poured into our lap… and you helped make it possible!

In recent months we have asked for your prayers as we moved through the grant application process with the Murdock Charitable Trust. Now we are inviting you to join us in praise and celebration.

The M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust, based in Vancouver, Washington, has served the needs of Pacific Northwest communities for more than twenty-five years. Since its founding by Melvin J. “Jack” Murdock, a co-founder of Tektronix, Inc., the Murdock Trust has partnered with more than 3,000 nonprofit organizations and awarded more than 6700 grants. On August 27, 2020, the Nehemiah Project and E-Community became a Murdock Trust Grant recipient for the second time. Our first grant was received in 2012 to establish the position of Development Director, an important step that helped us increase our annual fundraising from a little over $100K a year to averaging $600K a year.

Our objectives for this recently awarded grant were a perfect fit for the Murdock Trust mission of investing in transformational ideas. Awarded $238,000 in matching technology grant money, we can now begin the strategically planned and much-anticipated process of fortifying our existing technology infrastructure and deploying our membership community, courses, and website in French, Spanish, and Mandarin.

Conceived as a global outreach, the mission of Nehemiah Project International has always been to carry the opportunities and blessings of biblical entrepreneurship to the ends of the earth. In today’s world, global outreach is inspired by technology.

Long before the onset of the pandemic, we had embraced a technology-based, content-driven business model. When COVID-19 closures began, we were well-positioned to continue coaching, teaching, nurturing, and engaging entrepreneurs in the community with our member base and our marketplace.

This summer, we’ve put more technology tools to work for our objectives than ever before.

  • Our global conference, Nehemiah Week 2020, was for the first time, executed through 100% virtual delivery. With “virtual main conference hall” group events and “virtual breakout rooms” for in-depth sessions, we recorded our highest attendance and greatest participation levels ever.
  • Utilizing optimized messaging and outsourced digital delivery, we shared the news of both our Nehemiah Week Global Conference and our Orlando, Florida-based Entrepreneurship Training Community Center Grand Opening. These distributions yielded 169 media outlets that carried our new releases in entirety with 179 more carrying our headlines and a hyperlink to the full story, for a potential reach of a staggering 1.1 billion readers.
  • Guided by a team of digital advertising specialists, we’ve put tactical Big Data to work for micro-targeted lead generation. The result is a sales funnel with conversion far surpassing any techniques we had previously employed. Within weeks of launching our first campaigns, the initiative moved from paying for itself to profitability.

Are we excited? Absolutely!

Are we grateful, humbled, and profoundly appreciative of your continued support? AMEN, we are! Because none of this would have been possible without you.

Over the months ahead, the team at Nehemiah E-Community Online (who never ceases to amaze me with their creativity and boundless passion for our mission) will implement each phase of our grant-funded online expansion and platform fortifications. The Murdock Charitable Trust will release funding to us in phases as we demonstrate that we’ve met an inventory of performance objectives and as we raise our portion of the grant match. Presently we are more than halfway to our required target of raising $242,000. Thank you so much to those of you who contributed.

We hope you are celebrating as joyfully as we are. You’re on this journey with us, and we’ll be sharing our progress with you every step of the way. God is present in all that we do. We exist to serve Him.

Please keep us in your prayers.
