Today’s Life Map* entry:  Exodus 13:17 – 18:
“When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road thru the Philistine country – though it was shorter.  If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.   So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea…they went up and armed for battle.”
Meaning (M):
God knows our weakness…and He knows what is best for us.  The route may seem longer than necessary – the direction may not make sense.  But He knows the way we should go, and He will lead us – if only we will listen and obey!
Application (A):

  • Seek God and listen to His voice.

  • Trust what you hear

  • Validate your instructions – through Scripture and prayer

  • Step out in faith

  • Confidently obey

Prayer (P):
lord, lord,
Give me eyes to see  – a heart that will receive – a spirit willing to obey and the faith I need to trust you every step of the way.
I love you Lord.  Be with me in power and strength as I walk the path you lay before me today.
In Jesus Name, Amen
