The 2024 International Business Plan Competition (IBPC), which took place in conjunction with this year’s Nehemiah Week, was nothing short of spectacular. We saw 4 Biblical Entrepreneurs representing their respective regions masterfully present their Kingdom Business Plan in hopes of being named the winner of this year’s competition. With prize money worth up to $10,000 and the valuable opportunity to become next year’s keynote speaker on the line, it is safe to say that every single competitor gave nothing short of their very best to win.
The legacy and history of the IBPC which has been going strong for more than one decade can not be overstated. Every year, competitors qualify to compete in IBPC by becoming the best that their regions have to offer. This is no easy feat, as the competitors have to first complete our Biblical Entrepreneurship Program and then emerge victorious in their respective Center, Country, and Regional Business Plan Competitions.
To witness next year’s IBPC, register for Nehemiah Week 2025: Kingdom Business and Mental Health! There is now a LIMTED-TIME OFFER of $99 for the full 5-day conference which will be taking place from August 18 to August 22, 2025. Click on the button below to get yourself registered:
And The Winner is…
Despite all of them doing exceptionally well, at the end of the day, there can only be one winner. This year’s winner is none other than the representative of the Africa region, Lewis Njoroge with his business, Mzizi. On top of his well-presented Kingdom Business Plan, Lewis also answered the questions brought forth by our esteemed panel of judges during the competition with confidence and poise.
Lewis has been a member of the Nehemiah Entrepreneurship Community since 2023. His business, The root, is an all-in-one school automation platform with the mission to offer transformative education experiences through an inclusive learning ecosystem that empowers students, engages parents, and impacts communities. The business’ core values include customer-centric, integrity, teamwork, innovation, and excellence. Its vision is to be the partner of choice for schools in Africa and to this day, they have successfully partnered with many notable schools such as Mirema School, Mustard Seed International School, and Laiserhill Academy to name a few.
He competed against the Asia Pacific representatives, Annie & Jobbin, the Latin America representative, Jorge Federico Diaz, and the Europe representative, Emmanuella N’tsomi Samba, who won second, third, and fourth place respectively. Emmanuella was named the winner of the Audience Choice Award.
After being crowned the winner of the 2024 IBPC, Lewis took the time to talk to our Chief Servant Officer, Patrice Tsague, together with the E-Community Center Director of Nairobi, Kenya, Frank Kitonga in our Nehemiah Busines Life Cycle Podcast. In the episode, Lewis shared some of his experiences, motivation, and plans moving forward. If you wish to know more about his story, watch the full episode below:
